Today, we’re excited to share this incredible Inver Grove Heights kitchen addition and remodel! The owners of this 1960s rambler had spent years squishing their extended family into their tight dining space for holidays and special occasions. Their kitchen worked hard for them, but it lacked storage and functionality, and worst of all, it had no dishwasher!
The clients’ wish list included a large space to entertain (specifically, to expand their table to accommodate 12+ visitors), a large eat-in island, and a bar for mixing cocktails. After meeting and discussing their project goals, we determined that an addition was the right solution.
Our team added 8 ½ feet to the kitchen with a deck-style addition using helical piers for the foundation. The expanded kitchen layout included a 36” wide pantry with rollouts, a mudroom bench with storage, a bar area with a mini fridge, and a 7-foot island with seating for four.
We couldn’t be happier with the results of this remodel! The finished kitchen has plenty of storage and a great entertainment space that invites family and friends to stop by more often than just on holidays! Ready to see more? Scroll below to explore all of the before and after photos!
