This master bath was living its dream — its 1990s dream that is. The giant whirlpool tub was getting no use and the square fiberglass shower with its flimsy door was constantly leaking (and constantly being re-caulked). There was only a single vanity, the style was outdated (sorry 1990), and the bathroom entrance had no door! (A curtain sufficed). In all fairness to the decade, doors were not un-popular in the 90s, so we’re not sure what that was all about. But understandably, the homeowners absolutely wanted their new bathroom to have a door!
And a door we gave them — plus a whole lot more!
We completely gutted the shower and tub space, replacing part of that area with an amazing linen cabinet. This also allowed us to fit in a beautiful, much larger shower (that doesn’t leak!). And we re-plumbed the vanity area to allow for two sinks and more countertop space.
Completing this project in just four weeks was quite the accomplishment. We worked diligently to communicate with these busy working-homeowners, and the end results show our great collaboration with them.
The homeowners are loving their:
- Additional storage space!
- Custom cabinets from Northand Cabinetry
- Custom glass shower door from American Glass
- Completely updated tile shower
- Beautiful new 7’ vanity with a double sink setup
- Gorgeous flooring
- New lighting and fixtures
We think the updated, contemporary look is pretty great too. The legacy of the 1990s is more in music than in master baths, don’t you think?
